Sen in Karlsruhe

I have never eaten better sushi anywhere, but I have to admit that I prefer vegetarian sushi, if you want a large selection of fish, you should choose another restaurant. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right, some here complain that it is so expensive, I don't think so. If you order a normal portion, it will end up costing just as much as an "all you can eat buffet", as long as you don't want to feed yourself into unconsciousness.

Super delicious food, no matter if sushi or hot food. The waitresses are all very nice and friendly. You don't have to wait long for the bill and the food always comes at the same time, even in a large group. I can really only recommend it :)

Great Asian food! A little insider tip in Karlsruhe. Food / quality / taste: Not only sushi is delicious, hot food is also excellent. Generous portions, freshly prepared very well seasoned. Great mix of sweet, spicy and meat. Prices: are reasonable. Staff: is super warm, friendly and attentive to the guests individually. Location & Location: in the busy "center" of the city, modern, cozy.

The Vietnamese food is delicious and not too spicy. We tried different soups and appetizers. You can also order everything to take away. In addition, it can be eaten inside or outside.

I love the pho at Sen! After being there for the first time half a year ago, I come back again and again. The soup is so delicious there. Can only recommend. The rest of the menu is also delicious, but I got stuck with the Pho. The price is ok in my opinion.

Relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, very friendly, competent service. The black sesame ice cream with baked banana and warm sake (rice wine) is my absolute dessert favorite. Otherwise, lukewarm rice noodles with coriander, peanuts, fresh vegetables and soy sauce, awesome (tip: # 33). Highly Recommended!!

Especially the National Court of the Vietmese, the / the / the Pho - I do not know the article and the character for the "o" iss a nit do - is highly recommended! We were there with two friends. The decor is not nice, the atmosphere is not comfortable or consistent. Rather like a snack. The prices have it but in itself. The sushi was OK, but not very refined. I did not like the main course. No fresh vegetables, a heavy coconut sauce. Also a bad breaded chicken. It was very heavy in my stomach. We will not come again.

Excellent, fresh Vietnamese food. Beef salad was very good, spring rolls and seaweed salad excellent, Ca Hoi Xao (salmon with vegetables) very good, Bun Nem tasty but the rice noodles virtually flavorless. In the future I'd stick to appetizers and salads. And I probably don't need to tell you to avoid the wine in a Vietnamese restaurant, but avoid the wine.

Vietnamese cuisine par excellence. From pho bo to bun bo, even the sushis are really great. You can also go here with skeptics about sushi, because there are not only 1a raw fish

Everything OK. Only a star deduction, since on the first floor all seats were supposedly reserved and we weren't allowed to go up. Otherwise everything ok.

Good pho for European standards (better than London and Amsterdam) but does not compare with eg Melbourne. Unfortunately spring rolls were bad ( both salty and lacking other flavour), and sushi equally disappointing (deep fried shrimp inner of sushi roll was hard from excessive deep frying, assuming either left in too long or was re-fried). Would recommend for the pho, but definitely skip the entree and sushi.

Very good pho.

Upscale interior and prices. But does not deliver on food. The restaurant looks nice and attracts a trendy young crowd. The food however disappoints. They have a few Vietnamese classics Like Phõ and Bun Bo, which are quite good. But other Vietnamese restaurants in Karlsruhe can do those better too. The sushi is the absolute shocker. You have two types of fish to choose. Tuna and Salmon. That's it. (No white fish, no macrel, no cuttlefish) Ok, Unagi and Octopus is also available as nigiri. The selection of hosomaki is better. If that is your thing. The tempura roll is probably good, I had it in the (much better) sister restaurant Bamboo Garden in Durlach. But it's a huge portion and very expensive. Now to my personal experience. I found it a little cold, the seats in the front are perhaps not advisable. The waitress had a very hard time understanding German, which I can excuse. Tea and miso soup was good. The kelp salad was ice cold and bland. The plate of sushi attractive. However the octopus nigiri tasted off. I should not have eaten it, I got very bad stomach cramps afterwards. For 45€ in total I got a very boring unimaginable quite small meal. Not worth it. Even if the quality where on par.

The sushi was very fresh, well-cooked rice, however the miso soup was too salty, and not the good miso I've ever tried. Nice decorations, ok service staff but however they spoke too loudly sometimes

Food and service are just fine. But the price is pretty higher than the real quality of food. If you look for authentic vietnamese Pho, there are many different places much better in this town. For sushi, I must give 2 stars.

Vietnamese place with authentic but mediocre food. Had the feeling that they were trying to cheat their customers by rounding up the bill / not handing out the bill. Two tables nearby including me had some "issues"..

I love this restaurant. You can order Sushi or Vietnamese dishes. Plus, they have schnitzel and French fries for the kids. The owners are very friendly and they speak English. One of my favorite lunch places.
